Yangon-Kyaing Tong-Yangon

 Day-01
Bangkok -Yangon
Upon arrival, welcomed by our tourist guide
and transferred to Hotel.
After lunch, start to tour Yangon downtown
and Bogyoke market. In the evening, we will
enjoy the sunset view from over the western
platform of the vivid Shwedagon Pagoda,
which is towering almost 100meters above the
city and is a conspicuous landmark visible
from a few miles around.

 Day-02 Yangon – Kyaing Tong
Morning leisure at Yangon and we are flying
to Kyaing Tong, transferred to Hotel and
take a short break.Kyaing Tong is a small
frontier town which by this virtue makes it
more interesting for tourists and an
excellent hub to all the villages in the
golden triangle area. All the interesting
areas are easily accessible by car but the
road may be rough in places.

 Day-03 Kyaing Tong
After breakfast, sightseeing in Kyaing Tong
starts with Maha Myat Muni Pagoda, housing
Mandalay Style Buddha image. Proceed to Shan
lacquer ware. Tourists who are fond of
lacquer ware can purchase desirable lacquer
ware of high quality. Then visit Hot Spa,
Akha centre village and R.C.M church. Sunset
on the One Tree Hill where alone. 245 years
old Kanyin-phyu (Diptere carpus spp ) tree
stands and then come back to the pottery
Village “Yan Qone” to observe the nanogram
earthern pots of Shan tribe.

 Day-04 Kyaing Tong
After breakfast drive about 2 hours on the
road to Maila, a border town at the Chinese
Border. From there it will take 1 ˝ hours
hike to Wan Nyut village, one of the Loi
tribe villages. The Loi preferring to live
in huge long houses, including at least 5
families. Before visiting the Lois there is
an old monastery, a very beautiful one and
very different from the other monasteries.
One hour from there is another Loi village
(Wan Seng). Scenery is beautiful and hiking
is not difficult.

 Day-05 Kyaing Tong
After breakfast drive to “ Akha village”
(about 35 minutes drive) ) 9km north-east of
Kyaing Tong. The costume of the ladies of
this tribe is simple a wide sleeved short
black jacket over a sarong of horizontal red
stribes on black. Then proceed to Loimwe (
about 2 hours drive )33 km away from Kyaing
Tong. Located at over 1600 meters, this
“hill stations” features a number of old
colonial building and century Old Catholic
Churches. The main attraction along the way
is the scenery on the ascent to
Loimwe.

 Day-06 Kyaing
Tong
After breakfast drive (about3
hours) 87km to Maila, where you can visit Dway-Nagara Golden
Pagoda. Opium Free Zone Museum, China
Xishaungbanna Entry-Gate, Thai Gays Show,
Russian Girls Dance, Casino Hall and
Multi-tribes Garden.

Day-07 Kyaing Tong
Early morning visit the lively central
market offering a mixture of local products,
handicraft wares of the tribal folk and
merchandise from Thailand and China. Then
drive to Naung Tong Lake and the Wat Jom
Kham Pagoda (the most impressive one). It
features tall gilded stupa topped by a gold
umbrella inlaid with silver, rubies,
diamonds, sapphires and jade are hung with
tinny gold bells. Then transfer to Kyaing
Tong.

Day-08 Kyaing Tong-Yangon
A leisure morning at Kyaing Tong.
In the evening we are flying back to Yangon.

Day-09 Yangon -
Bangkok
A leisure morning at Yangon.
Then, will be transferred to Yangon Airport
and assisted by our Tourist Guide about
Airport procedures.
After all, our trip has
successfully come to an end. |
